Identify and Define Your Core Values Workshop

Do you want to live with integrity?

Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.
— Brene Brown

What if you had a clear guide to help you make decisions so you can live your best life and conquer the world?

This workshop is for charity.

The proceeds from this workshop will be donated to the Alberta School Councils’ Association (ASCA). Registration for the workshop is by donation. You need to register through the links on this page, but then you will receive instructions on how to submit your donation (email money transfer to me and I will compile all of the money and donate to ASCA).

Each quarter, I will host a webinar where I donate the money to a charity that I’ve worked with.

ASCA is very near to my heart with their vision of “a respected and empowered school council in every Alberta school.” School councils enable parents in public, separate, francophone, and charter schools to contribute the improvement of education for all students.

I have attended ASCA events for over a decade and served on the Board of Directors for 6 years. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to speak at several of their conferences.

Introducing …

The Identify & Define Your Core Values Workshop

Set boundaries, align behaviour and live your authentic life

The Values Workshop will guide you through a proven process to identify and then define your personal core values. No looking at a list of 50-100 values and trying to narrow it down. You will go through the process in the workshop, and along with your workbook, you will be able to first identify your core values and then define them with specific behaviours.

Tell me if this sounds like you:

You’ve heard about core values and you’re interested, but the thought of looking through a list of multiple values and narrowing them down to 2-3 sounds overwhelming. You don’t know where to start. You feel like you should identify your core values, but don’t know where to start. You feel a rub, or a gnawing feeling in your body in certain situations, but you don’t know why, or how to get past it.

You want to spend your precious time changing the world, and not getting caught by or dragged down by decisions that end up feeling wrong.

What if there was a guide of sorts, completely tailored to you, that allowed you to make decisions that made you feel empowered and not bogged down in nagging doubts?

That’s exactly why I created this workshop on identifying and defining your core values. I’ve done the narrow down the list of 50 values exercise and walked away frustrated. I’ve made decisions that were ultimately outside of my values and felt the rub. And it doesn’t have to be that way. You may feel that identifying and defining your core values may be too hard, but I’m here to tell you that it isn’t. You just need the right process and you can be a values superhero!

We’ve heard about the importance of living into our values, but yet, very few of us actually know what they even are. That’s why the process I teach in my Identify and Define Your Core Values Workshop is so important. I will walk you through how to meaningfully determine your core values and then further describe the behaviours that illustrate them.

The best part? You can have a great start in just the time frame of the workshop. And if you need extra support, you can add on one on one coaching.

 OFFER SUMMARY

In the Identify and Define Your Core Values Workshop, you will:

  • Learn the simple, but effective, process to identify your core values.

  • Compile a list of values and anti-values

  • Narrow your list to 2-3

  • Create a 1 sentence summary for each of your values

  • Define the behaviours that tell you that you are living into your values

“I really appreciated Jacquie's process around identifying and operationalizing my values. I'd done values work before, but the questions she asked helped me dig deeper, and I really appreciated her guidance in consolidating overlapping attributes into a more focused, encompassing value. I walked away not only with my values, but with clear statements about how I live into those values and the behaviours that I take. Those are golden because they've helped me make decisions and check whether what I'm doing or about to do is aligned with who I am and what I value. Highly recommend!” Candice

Right now you’re feeling an inner nagging or gnawing feeling. You’ve heard about how important it is to live into your core values, but where do you even start? You are looking on the internet and have found massive lists and instructions to just keep narrowing them until you get down to 2-3. But the list just stares back at you and ultimately, you close the webpage and walk away.

Imagine feeling confident that you’ve nailed the values that are the most important to you. You have the behaviours defined and you reference that list when you need to make difficult decisions. You are engaged with organizations that align with your values and you are making a difference in the world.

That’s what can happen when you identify and define your core values through this workshop and my unique process.

I’m Jacquie Surgenor Gaglione, and I’ve spent over 25 years teaching and empowering others to be amazing leaders. My core values are: Prioritize Family, Serve Others and Live with Integrity and I see to fully lean into them in everything I do.

My background and experience as a teacher allows me to design meaningful training that hits home for participants. My approach is to build connections between experiences, prior knowledge and new knowledge. Humans learn best when they can relate concepts to life. That’s the art and science of development and growth.

Using my background and experience, I guide growth-minded leaders through a tailored, engaging, human-first approach to skill development. Every person can be a leader; skills can be learned. The problem is that we aren’t actively teaching them.

Imagine where you could be three months from now…

  • Rather than staring at the list of 50 values, you have your 2-3 core values identified and described.

  • Rather than making decisions which are not aligned with your core values, you are clear about what they are and how to apply them.

  • Rather than working or volunteering in organizations where you feel you don’t belong, you chose wisely when joining something new.

  • Rather than feeling stuck, you have clarity around how you should show up in the world.

  • Rather than feeling in conflict with yourself, you are making a difference and changing the world in a way that feels authentic to you.

Now is the time to purchase the Identify and Define Your Core Values Workshop. The cart will close at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12.
