People can seem so confusing.

Sometimes, you just “get” someone, and other times, they seem like they are speaking another language.

You want to understand yourself better and communicate more effectively with others.

  • You find yourself trapped or entangled in a situation? It loops incessantly in your thoughts, leaving you uncertain about releasing it and progressing.

  • You are drained, not energized, at the end of the day, and you don’t understand why, or how to change it.

  • You are drawn to a small group of people that you feel you “get” and are increasingly frustrated by a larger group that you just don’t.

  • You work on a team that seems constantly caught in conflict and no one knows how to move past it. You desperately want things to improve, but you don’t know where to start to make it happen.

  • You can’t seem to get your point across so people understand and it is affecting relationships, sales, teamwork and your confidence.

Does this sound like you?

  • You feel like you don’t “speak the same language” as other people and wish you could communicate more effectively?

  • You want to understand why some things seem easy and others others are so tiring, and you want a list of which is which?

  • You want to learn more about yourself?

  • You want to communicate more effectively with other people?

  • You want to greater transparency into what motivates you so you can lean more into those tasks?

  • You are in sales and want to improve your ability to sell to people?

  • You are in leadership and want to improve your ability to lead people?

This training is for you!

No one ever taught us how to communicate effectively, yet this skill is critical to success.

Instead, we often replay conversations in our head and wonder what we did wrong. Except, often, we didn’t do anything wrong; we just didn’t understand how to adapt our communication to be more effective.

This training will teach you that. It will give you tangible advice to understand yourself and to recognize other people’s styles so you can understand them.

You will start to have “a-ha” moments where you say, “holy crap” in your head as you understand why you are jazzed about doing some things, and while you are exhausted when you are in certain situations. The empowerment is so powerful.

i’ve read enough. I want in.

Emotional Intelligence is Key!

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) stands as a pivotal factor in achieving success, yet the means to improve it often eludes us.

You can be a top performer without emotional intelligence, but the chances are slim.
— Travis Bradberry

90% of top performers are also high in emotional intelligence. Only 20% of bottom performers are high in emotional intelligence.

Awesome. I get it.
EQ is critical. But how do I improve mine?

Through a review of your strengths, drivers, and the scenarios that reduce your motivation, you open the door to refining your emotional intelligence. The first step is awareness.

Leveraging the insights offered by your DISC Assessment and training provides an excellent means to create such understanding. This self-awareness enables you to identify when you're caught in demotivating situations or how you respond when faced with pressure. Nurturing your strengths and motivations becomes attainable.

Understanding your style is the first step; afterwards, you can use your understanding of the model in conjunction with specific advice in your assessment report to refine your approach when interacting with different styles for more effective communication.

In the three week workshop, you will learn about the DISC model. Then you will dig deeper into your specific style to understand yourself better; what motivates you, how do you show up when you are stressed, what reduces your motivation, how do you communicate and how do others see you? With that understanding of yourself, you will start to look at the other profiles and you determine how to make small changes that improve your communication and relationships with others.

I want to improve my emotional intelligence!

DISC has changed my life. That may sound dramatic, but it has fundamentally impacted my approach to relationships. I’ve naturally adapted in the past, but DISC helped me understand why, and it gives me a tangible model so I can be deliberate in how I do it in the future. Understanding why I sometime get caught in my head in a spinning cycle has helped me stop the cycle and get off the merry go round of crappy feelings.

Meet Jacquie:

I’m kind of obsessed with DISC. I was introduced to it in 2016 and I had a cursory understanding. In 2020, I realized the amazing power of it.

I reference my DISC report constantly. I’ve learned so much about myself, but I also understand other people better. I’m able to let go of things that annoyed me about other people, and I communicate more effectively.

In 2020, I led a DISC session with a board and while it sounds crazy (and impossible), we saw an immediate positive impact on how we communicated and worked together. It was this profound impact that inspired me to become certified with Extended DISC.

Back to the obsession - I talk about DISC all the time. I am constantly learning new things and my mind is still blown by what I learn. I love when people receive their assessment report and say:

  • I feel so called out, hahahaha.

  • It’s like you were in my head and poured it out in this report.

  • How did you do that? This nailed me.

In my past life, I taught junior high for 10 years, and then transitioned to adults. I am passionate about community, creating connections and empowering people to be amazing leaders.

Effective leaders possess a deep understanding of themselves and those around them.

Break free from frustration and self-limitation. Relying on hope for change is insufficient.

This workshop, however, will yield tangible results.

You want to spend your time making an impact, not mired in a never-ending cycle of doubting yourself and staying caught in conflict (within yourself or among others). You are excited to accomplish amazing things.

I’ve been there and DISC changed how I saw myself and others. Instead of wondering what planet someone was from, I learned to recognize their style and to adapt to communicate effectively. By learning to “speak their language” I can give them information the way they want and can support them when they struggle.

It’s a refreshingly simple process with game-changing results.

Sign up now! This training program will give you incredible insight into yourself (and other) without having to dig into your childhood.

Have Questions? … I Have Answers!

  • DISC is a behaviour model based on the work of psychologist William Moulton Marston. Two axes (people vs task focused and active vs reserved) yield four quadrants: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance. DISC reports give you valuable information about your natural behaviour tendencies. You may find that you just get some people and interactions with those people are easy, but with others, you struggle to understand them and communication is more challenging. DISC gives you common language so you can understand and communicate more effectively with these people.

  • No. Each profile has strengths and challenges. DISC doesn’t assign value to the attributes which describe each profile, or to the profiles themselves. We have a tendency to do that as humans, but at the core, no profile is better than another.

  • I am a teacher at heart (and by trade) and I approach training and development from that perspective. I have extensive training and experience in developing and delivering content and programs. I also want to focus on non-profits and small organizations because they typically feel like training and development is out of their reach. I aim to make leadership and team development accessible to these organizations.

  • I will be recording the sessions and you will have access to them for 6 months after the conclusion of the training series.
