Hi there … I’m Jacquie!

I’m a teacher at heart with a passion for leadership and community.

My journey began in junior high classrooms, where I spent 10 years teaching and learning from my students and colleagues. The skills I developed through my BEd and teaching career shape how I approach leadership development today.

I’ve seen how many leaders are promoted without the training they need to succeed, which is why I’m passionate about filling that gap. I want individuals and organizations to thrive.

I can adapt topics to the audience and time constraint. I’ve designed and delivered one hour stand alone sessions and sixty hour year-long programs. My focus is providing actionable strategies tangible techniques that attendees can implement and use immediately apply.

As an SCI in DISC, I’m especially focused on building meaningful connections that drive collaboration and success.

I’m passionate about giving back to my community, working with small and medium businesses and non-profits. Outside of work, I love volunteering, spending time with my family, and getting creative in my craft room.

How did I get here?

I've always been passionate about teaching and empowering people, which led me to notice a gap in leadership development in 2017. While working at an organization, I realized many new leaders lacked the training they needed. That’s when I created a comprehensive 60-hour leadership course for them, and after teaching it, I knew I had found my calling. I went on to develop a second-level course, which further deepened my love for leadership development.

In 2020, while serving on a non-profit board, I noticed our virtual meetings were struggling with communication issues. Drawing from my experience with DISC, I introduced assessments and training to help us understand each other’s communication styles. The shift was immediate—we stopped assuming others were intentionally frustrating us, and collaboration improved dramatically.

That moment was a turning point for me. I saw the incredible impact that tools like DISC could have on individuals and teams, which led me to fully commit to leadership development. In 2022, I took the leap and officially incorporated Leadership and Life by Kayric Inc., focusing on helping organizations build strong leaders and cohesive teams.

The Tools I Use

  • Extended DISC

    I use Extended DISC to help individuals and teams better understand their behaviors, communication styles, and how to work effectively with others. It’s an invaluable tool for fostering collaboration and reducing workplace friction.

  • Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team

    This framework helps teams build trust, master conflict, commit to decisions, hold one another accountable, and achieve collective results. It’s all about creating stronger, more cohesive teams.

  • Bachelor of Education

    My years as a teacher gave me a deep understanding of how people learn and grow. I draw on this experience to make leadership concepts engaging and actionable, ensuring participants leave ready to apply what they’ve learned.
