Emotional Intelligence 2.0

Make it stand out

Success is no longer determined by intellectual intelligence, experience or education, but rather, by emotional intelligence (EQ). Emotions are derivations of five core feelings: happiness, sadness, anger, fear and shame and these emotions shape our behaviours. Our first reaction to an event will be emotional, and those with a high EQ are able to identify and manage those emotions and resulting reactions. Bradberry and Greaves layout the science behind EQ and describe each of the four skills (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management) and then provide a toolkit of various strategies to improve each of the four skills.
