The Pressure Test: DISC Styles Under Pressure

Episode Summary

A tight deadline lands and four people react four completely different ways, and none of it is random. Every DISC style has a pressure response, usually just their biggest strength turned up past the point where it helps. Each style has its own stress response, its own fix, and its own way a teammate can step in before it all lands on the manager.

Key Points:

  • Under pressure, each DISC style's biggest strength gets turned up too far.

  • Small, specific responses tailored to each style can pull a stressed teammate back into the conversation instead of leaving them stuck.

  • Leaders get better results by meeting each style's stress response differently instead of treating the whole team the same way.
